For us

Today I have two. The first is special because Curtis gave me a plaque with these words on it as a gift when we still dating. It still hangs in our hallway as a reminder every day. It is also special because it can be found in a special book, the Bible. It is read at many wedding ceremonies and it contains valuable advice. However, it does not apply to just romantic love. It is a guide for loving all of God's people. I still love this guy after all these years. In fact, I love him more every day. He never fails to make me feel special even when he is doing his best to annoy me!
If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing symbol. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, love is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

I Corinthians 13

"Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that."
~Michael Leunig

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. I will post the picture of the RAK tomorrow. I will give everyone till Wednesday to comment on one of my love quotes from the past week and I will draw one random winner.

Detta
