My favorite little guy

This little guy has completely captured my heart. He and his mom have been living with us for about a year now and it is time for them to move on and start life on their own. Part of me is glad to see them go so I can have my house and quiet back but the other part of me is really sad. I enjoy having them both here. It is cool to be able to relate to my daughter mother to mother, woman to woman. I like playing with the boy. He keeps things lively around here. That's definitely true. I made this layout as part of my HOF entry. It was the one for the craft project. I cross stitched some colorful hearts to use as embellishments. The journaling reads:

When this handsome guy was born, I had my doubts about whether I could adore him as much as I adored my girls when they were small. After all, I had no experience with little boys. Would he be as cuddly and sweet as they were? Would he let me smother him with hugs and kisses? Would he love me? Being his grandma has been more fun than I ever thought it could be. He is sweet and funny and loving . He is also exasperating and infuriating and just plain ornery. Even with all of that said, I have to admit, he has my heart.
I'm curious as to how many people actually read this blog since I have the link in a couple of places now. Say hello to me and I will have a drawing for a package of foofala pish posh canvas flowers on Wednesday, April 25.

Hi Detta: This is a great layout. I always thought that cross-stitch had a place in scrapbooking. Journaling is great as always:-)

Your journaling reflects the same thoughts every mother and gradmother of little boys shares, both the overwhelming love for them and struggle to understand them. I had two of my own boys and certainly understand where you're coming from. Love the layout.

Hi Detta! I love your layout, esp. the cross stitch hearts. And adorable photos. I have a RAK going on my blog now too - this is the second time we've been on the same track, LOL. Congrats on your blog - I love it! I've been reading for awhile but haven't posted a comment because I didn't have a blogger account. For a RAK, I will get one!

Hi Detta, I can tell you for a fact little boys can probably steal your heart quicker than little girls. I know! Drew stole mine the moment he was born and keeps stealing it each and every day. The layout is soooo cute. But I have always loved cross stitch. That's is the only other hobbie I have is counted cross stitch.

Hey there! Found your blog via the CK Board... welcome to the blog world! It is addictive... between MB's and Blogging, and 'real' life... it's a good thing that Scrapping is addictive TOO or we would never get anything done! LOL!

Love the LO too!

Hi, Detta! Congratulations on your new blog!

This layout is so cute. I have two sons and one daughter and although my daughter is super-sensitive, my sons were much more cuddly than she was as a baby.
