A RAK to end the year

Santa left a Heidi Swapp clear stamp in my stocking that I already own so I thought I'd share it with one of my friends. You can see it here. I just couldn't get a good picture of it. Just tell me whether you set goals or make resolutions each year and I will randomly draw a name on Jan 2. I am not a resolution maker, myself. I do occasionally set goals for myself but I don't restrict that to the beginning of any year. I'm hoping to get some deals today as I'm going shopping armed with gift cards and 50% off coupons. Wish me luck.

I try to set realistic goals for myself. RIght now I am just waiting for my hubby to buy me an inexpensive treadmill so that I can get in better shape. That's all. ksun_1999@yahoo.com
Thanks for sharing

I always feel as if losing weight should be my resolution, but as I've been thinking that ever since I had the children I haven't done very well!
Perhaps it should be to buy more craft stuff - that's achievable!lol
Happy new year, and thanks for the offer of this gorgeous stamp.

I don't know if I would say they are resolution, but I do set goals for myself. One for 2008 is to try to do some of the challenges out here in blogland and SCS. Thanks for a chance.

I made scrappy goals, that's all! No good to make weight loss, or healthy eating goals! I fail miserably!!!

I'm like you. I don't do resoulutions, but I make goals throughout the year. This year I want to submit my work for publication calls and also try to join a design team. As for my family goal, I want to teach my daughter to read.
Thanks!

i make resoultions only so that I can break them. I make really funny ones so that I can laugh at them when I break them. No point in getting depressed over broken resoulutions..they are meant to be broken anyways..

happy new year!!

I'm not much for resolutions. I have a few scrappy goals - finish my wedding album and make a mini book about myself. That's about it!

Oh, I'm not entering the drawing :) I already have that particular stamp. I just wanted to leave a comment!

I used to make resolutions...that I never kept....now I just set realistic goals...which I still sometimes do not meet. But my intentions are good.

I always say that I set resolutions, but if they don't work out I just give them up for Lent.

Good luck on your shopping - hope it was profitable! No resolutions here, just realistic goals. My 2008goal - to make a complete project each month,(notecard sets & box) being my January project. I want to be prepared instead of trying to make something (gift) at the last minute. Thanks

My New Year's resolution(s) are to eat more healthy (I refuse to sabotage myself by going on a new year's diet) and to devote more time to myself for my crafting...mainly scrapping and stamping!!! And now that I have actually written them down, with witnesses, maybe I will have half a chance at keeping them....LOL
Thanks for your generousity!

I'm resolving to spend less money on scrapbooking stuff so winning some would be a great way to start the new year.

I don't make resolutions for NY as such, but I do find the start of a year is a good time to reflect and plan. Here it is also summer, so all those promises about diet and exercise are there too!

This year, I am using a lovely notebook my DD23 gave me for Christmas. It is my motivational space. I am recording goals and my strategies to achieve them, as well as images and words that insire me.

I make my goals fairly general - eat less, move more - rather than lose Xkg etc. I also try to cover all aspects of my life and lifestyle, so there are goals to improve my photography, make more time for yoga etc.

I also think about what I want to scrap in the year ahead and things I can do to make that happen.

But my main goal is to enjoy my life as it comes, because most of it happens regardless of planning!

I'm celebrating my 22nd anniversary of quitting smoking on the 1st! It was not a resolution, but a last minute personal decision. I don't really do resolutions, but I am going to make a concerted effort and plan of attack, to get more sleep this year, balance & routine, and due to health issues could not stamp as much as I wish I could have, so I would like to stamp, create, learn something new (maybe altering), so that I can RAK more people this year. :) HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!

Theresa, I finally got a MM self sharpening paper cutter. Wow, how did I live without this thing before!

I certainly have some goals for myself this year:
- follow a 'start to run' program to run 5 km in 10 weeks
- accomplish minimum 1 scrapbook layout each week
- making christmas cards a whole year long, so it won't be a rush in december, like this year.
I hope we all succeed in our resolutions!
